Maths can become much easier when you have someone who explains things in a way that actually makes sense to you. I’m a UCL Mathematics and Statistical Sciences graduate with over four years of one-to-one tutoring experience, primarily teaching GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level Maths. I have taught students across a wide range of abilities, from those who feel stuck and need support with the basics to those aiming for the highest grades. I understand that Maths can feel overwhelming, especially when lessons move quickly or there are gaps in understanding. My approach is to slow things down when needed, explain ideas clearly and build understanding step by step. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes without feeling judged. I have completed over 300 hours of GCSE and IGCSE Maths tuition. Alongside helping students understand difficult topics, I also focus on problem-solving and exam technique, including how to approach different types of questions, structure working clearly and avoid common mistakes. Rather than asking students to simply memorise methods, I encourage them to understand the reasoning behind what they are doing. As their confidence grows, I gradually encourage them to tackle questions more independently and explain their own thinking. I hold a BSc in Mathematics and Statistical Sciences from UCL, graduating with a 2:1, and achieved A*A*A*A in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry at A-Level. Whether a student wants to catch up, strengthen their foundations, prepare for exams or push themselves further, I tailor lessons to their individual needs. My goal is for students to leave lessons feeling that Maths is clearer, more manageable and something they can tackle with confidence.
