Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Adeyemi Academy ("the Service") operated by Adeyemi Academy Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or booking a lesson, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• Learners under 18 require parent or guardian consent.
• Tutors must be at least 18 and complete our verification process.

3. The marketplace

Adeyemi Academy is a marketplace connecting learners with independent tutors. We are not the direct provider of tutoring services — each tutor is an independent contractor.

4. Bookings & Payments

• You agree to pay the hourly rate set by the tutor at the time of booking.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We are not responsible for Stripe outages.
• Your first 30 minutes with any new tutor is free.
• Cancel or reschedule up to 2 hours before the session start with no penalty.
• Late cancellations (<2 hours) may be charged in full.

5. User conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, abuse, threaten or discriminate against any other user.
• Share inappropriate content in chats or sessions.
• Circumvent the platform to arrange payments outside Adeyemi Academy.
• Record or distribute session content without all participants' consent.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your qualifications.

Violations may result in account suspension, permanent ban, and referral to authorities where applicable.

6. Report & block

You can report or block any user directly from any chat. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours by our moderation team.

7. Refunds

If your first paid session (after your free diagnostic) is unsatisfactory, contact us within 24 hours for a full refund. Beyond that, refunds are at our discretion and typically require evidence of a service failure.

8. Intellectual property

Session recordings, whiteboards and materials belong to the participants of that session. Adeyemi Academy platform code, brand and content belongs to Adeyemi Academy Ltd.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you shall not exceed the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We do not exclude liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
